Stella, a spirited 11-year-old, found a new home at Little Oldies after her owner passed away. Despite her heart condition, she’s full of energy and joy! We’re devoted to ensuring she gets the love and care she deserves during her golden years. The doctor said most pups with this kind of heart disease live about 6 months to a year. We’re also raising funds for her cardiologist visits to keep her happy and healthy for as long as we can!

Stella vs. The Dishwasher – Round 2!

Stella just can’t resist checking out the dishwasher… again! Maybe she’s helping, or maybe she’s just looking for a snack. Why can't it be both?
Stella’s Love Language?
Stella shows her love in the sweetest way—by giving endless kisses! If you have an arm, she’s ready to lick it!
Best Welcome Committee Ever!
Nothing beats the pure joy of dogs welcoming their favorite person home! Tail wags, happy barks, and full-body wiggles—this is the best kind of greeting. 🥰🐾💕
Dreaming of Warmer Days ☀️

Stella loves a little fresh air, but the second she’s back inside, she’s parked right by the fire. She’s definitely looking forward to the sunny days ahead!
Dish Duty

Who needs a dishwasher when you've got a pup ready to clean up? 😅 This little helper is making sure every dish gets a good lick, even if it’s a bit unconventional!
Stella, the Morning Motivator

Unlike the chihuahuas who refuse to get up, Stella is ready the moment the alarm goes off! She pops up, will stare you down, and silently dares you to hit snooze. If she could talk, I’m pretty sure she’d have a full monologue about her plans for the day, her hopes for warmer weather, and whatever else is on her mind!
Tiny but Mighty

Stella has a serious heart murmur, and while the vet gave her 6 months to a year, she’s still thriving 9 months later! Her heart may be fragile, but her spirit is strong. The cost of her vet visits and medications adds up, and every donation helps keep her going strong. We’re so grateful for the support to keep Stella healthy and happy.
Medication Time
Every morning, after getting her daughter off to school, it’s med time for the Little Oldies crew! Most of them love peanut butter, which makes things super easy, but one prefers turkey meatballs—perfect for sneaking meds in. They’re all so good about it, so everyone gets a little extra treat afterward.
Grass? Who Needs It?
Why go outside when you’ve got this plush green ‘grass’ inside? No wind or snow, just all the rolling you can handle!
Snow Day! (Stella's Version)

Cold paws? No thanks. Stella votes for cozy blankets over snowflakes! 🐶❤️
Fireside Bliss

Stella’s winter strategy: skip the snow, claim the coziest spot by the fire. Warm toes, happy heart. ❤️❄️
Pet Sitter Fun!

When you find a pet sitter who loves your dogs as much as you do, you've hit the jackpot! 🐾💖 Little Oldies is lucky to have this amazing pet sitter and friend who treats every dog like family!

When your dog’s giving you that look... 'Are you sure you’re not hiding treats?'
Watchful Eyes

Every time someone heads out the front door, this is what they see—dogs wondering where the heck they're going!
Three month vet follow up

Stella enjoying the sunshine after her 3 month vet visit. Unfortunately her foster did not get the news we hoped for, Stella's heart has gotten worse. Luckily she doesn't know it, so she will continue to live her best life.
Nothing like playtime!

Stella might look innocent and cute, but she is a little spitfire who is ready to fight for her lamb!!
Welcome Stella to Little Oldies

When Stella's two-legged companion passed away, she found herself in need of a new home. At 11 years old, Stella went to Little Oldies with a 5/6 grade heart murmur. She has degenerative mitral valvular disease stage C, Valvular aortic stenosis, and mitral stenosis. Basically her heart valves are thickening and making her blood flow difficult and her heart is getting bigger and pressing on her lungs. Sometimes she gets fluid in her lungs and it makes her cough. Luckily, Stella doesn’t know any of this. She certainly acts like a puppy at the young age of 11!
