- Rat Terrier/Chi mix
- 12 years old
Henry, the first Little Oldie, is a 12-year-old pup who loves the outdoors and the summer heat! He recently tore his ACL so he is on limited exercise right now. We are hoping that Henry doesn’t need surgery and are raising funds for his basic needs right now but those funds will also be used for surgery if needed.

Braving the wind and chill is tough, but nothing beats warming up with a good snuggle.
A Life of Comfort: Henry’s Happy Place

Henry came to Little Oldies when his previous family realized they didn’t have the time to care for him. While crates can be a great tool when used appropriately, Henry ended up spending most of his time in one, which wasn’t the best fit for his needs. Thankfully, his family made the loving decision to surrender him to us. Henry is slow to warm up to new people and likes to take things at his own pace. Here, he gets all the time he needs to feel safe and comfortable. These days, Henry enjoys roaming freely around the house and yard, soaking up all the love and belly rubs he could ever want. 💜

Always waiting on snacks!

Here is Henry looking for mom to drop something on the kitchen floor. He is getting better. We went to the vet the other day and they feel we should not do surgery and just let his ACL heal on its own. So he is on some new supplements and pretty much acts like everything is fine. It will be a long and slow recovery.

Little Oldies welcomes Henry

At 12 years old, Henry recently tore his ACL, so we’re doing our best to keep him quiet and comfortable. Despite his injury and hearing loss, Henry is still full of life, especially when he’s outside, enjoying the flowers and, occasionally, a pile of bunny poo!
